Supporting clients to expand their personal influence and confidence
Depth of expertise in large corporations and not-for-profit organisations
Helen’s broad professional background as a CEO, board member and chair, professional stylist and in various senior corporate roles ensures she deeply understands her clients' challenges while also being present to the unique gifts and opportunities they might not be aware of.
She has supported large corporations and not-for-profits through to executive leaders of large corporations and individuals interested in personal growth and career advancement. Adopting a systemised approach, Helen helps clients develop their confidence and hone their relationship-building and communication skills to become more trusted, authentic leaders and people of influence.
Expanding influence for extraordinary outcomes that extend from the individual to the organisation and community
Helen has had extensive experience supporting leaders, individuals, teams and board members to expand their influence beyond themselves for the greater good of an organisation and the community or people it serves. An example was when she drew on qualities like courage, responsibility, assertiveness, confidence and care to tackle and positively influence a challenging situation that others had ignored within a large not-for-profit despite its potential to severely damage the organisation’s reputation, culture and ability to fulfil its community objectives.
As a result of Helen’s intervention, the organisation increased its annual turnover from $8m to $32m over the following years and dramatically improved its service to the community.
Some companies Helen has worked with
Being courageous and building a healthy relationship with fear are critical factors towards expanding your influence
Helen draws on personal experience when supporting others in overcoming fear and developing the courage to confront the tough issues others choose to ignore. She identifies with even the most sensitive challenges because she has experienced and overcome them first-hand in the boardroom and in her personal life while holding senior leadership roles.
Bridging the gap between your relationship with yourself and your circle of influence
In addition to courage and fear, Helen asserts that many other qualities impact an individual’s ability to develop and nurture their circle of influence. Those qualities include authenticity, vulnerability, awareness, presence, care and others. She also supports people in overcoming perfectionism, imposter syndrome, unrealistic expectations and others issues holding them back from fulfilling their intentions. More recently having dealt with her own health issues and the impact of managing side effects of medication, she knows the importance of being responsible in her circle of influence to deal with family and herself first. Helen maintains that unless we start by working on our relationship with ourselves, we limit our ability to develop our circle of influence. As a consequence, we impact our potential to grow in our careers, step in front of the right people, get the dream role and develop ourselves as well-rounded individuals. Having worked in the community and not for profit sectors for a long time, she has a keen interest in this space and now works with a select number of clients in this space.
