Our Vision: To Shift the Paradigm of Entrepreneurship Over the Next 500 Years
We believe that entrepreneurship is uniquely positioned to make a difference in the world. Religion, academia and politics have had major roles in the past, but we see that entrepreneurship is the major vehicle that will move humanity forward.
We believe that entrepreneurship is not at its full potential. The rate of failure in entrepreneurship is unacceptable. Our vision is to systemize a large part of the technology entrepreneurship process to enable more and more entrepreneurs to effectively build their ideas into successful companies.
500 years ago, surgeons had minimal success rates in successfully addressing people’s illnesses. They would cut open their bodies, but lacked the knowledge to make a difference. Today, we can take a 20 year old and train them through a rigorous methodology. The outcome is that they can slice open the human body, and address the issues in such a way that they are effective 90% of the time. We believe we are at the early stage of entrepreneurship, and that we can raise the level of effectiveness one generation at a time.

That's why we build our companies with our core values in mind and we practice them as if we are in a dojo.
There are a number of interesting things about the venture building model. Venture building is where entrepreneurs have the intention to create startups in parallel. They do this by using the same resources across multiple companies so they can gain maximum leverage. This can involve everything from the same teams or departments and range from skillsets and techniques and methodologies and expertise and intellectual property across sales and marketing, software and product development, strategic direction, connections and networks, data, analytics and platforms.
Secondly, venture building is heavily involved. The directors, the CEOs and the C-level executives are often heavily involved in the startups they work with rather than taking a back seat only as investors, therefore they are learning more about how to build a startup in today's environment, and they are passing that knowledge on to other startups in real time.
Across the world there are over 150 venture builders. There are currently 4 in Australia and the model is growing.
